Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium (AVCC)
When the Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium (AVCC) prepared to launch in October 2019, they needed a simple, easy to use and effective tool to manage the consortium and its membership database, facilitate communications with its members, and provide a simple archival location for all of its documents. The right tool had to be “plug and play” i.e., implemented without extra programming and could be managed by the AVCC team. Although many other tools offered some of the functions they needed, AVCC selected ARO as their management and archival tool because it provided everything they needed in one platform.
“I had experience with ARO when I worked with another association. When I launched AVCC, ARO was on my short list because I knew from experience that it could deliver our requirements right out of the gate – customization with no programming required. What really differentiated ARO from other tools I considered was the power and scope of its functionality, the integration of all of my data in one tool and how easy it is to use and manage. The design is intuitive so new folks can engage immediately. The mailing list and calendar features made it very easy for our working groups to organize and communicate from day one. And most importantly when you’re managing sensitive membership data, technical specifications and legal Board documents – everything in ARO is backed up by multiple security measures. ARO is absolutely the right fit for AVCC and I would recommend it to any organization that needs a high-quality collaboration solution.”

“For more than 15 years now ARO, AMS’s foremost tool in database management has been The Broadband Forum’s sole Membership Management software.
As the industry’s leading organization focused on accelerating broadband, the Broadband Forum (BBF) prioritizes our membership support and development; over time, AMS has successfully developed and customized ARO so that this tool has grown and changed with the Forum fulfilling our needs in a timely effective manner.
Over the years ARO has been customized to support the recruitment and onboarding process. From the initial contact with a prospective member company through the account set up, membership level provisioning, invoicing, participant database and payment processing, ARO completely fulfills our needs.
ARO and the team behind it has helped us execute our strategy, simplify our internal reporting, and grow our membership foundation. The AMS support team is efficient and friendly. They are knowledgeable about our organization and they clearly have a desire to help the Forum succeed.”

“The IETF has used AMS services in several ways: meeting planning and support, database management including our temporary and permanent document repositories, web site and a variety of supporting tools, and the editing and publication of our final documents, the RFC Series. The services we require have stretched AMS, leading them into businesses that I’m not sure we or they expected when we first met. What has struck me over and again has been how pleasant they are to work with, how competently they perform – even if it’s the first time they have done something – and how well the machinery underlying the IETF operates as a result.”
